There are so many beautiful things about black and white photography. It is classic, timeless, art. But what I love most about a black and white photograph is that it feels like a memory. And it doesn't even have to be our memory ~ just one that was properly preserved and kept for another time, place, generation. Stripped of color and unnecessary context, it pulls us in with the feeling that this particular moment actually happened, that it meant something, and that it still lives on somewhere.
So this has always been my goal as a photographer ~ to create an image that will be enjoyed today and valued tomorrow. And maybe even found and loved by a granddaughter many years from now ...

that it will never come again, is what makes life so sweet ~emily dickenson
I have always felt the same way. I was at a antique store one time and I bought a box of old black and white photos and I just love looking at them. A moment in time that tells a story. Priceless! I think you accomplish your goal with each session=) Your work is always beautiful!
